The Iowa CCA Board is Seeking Nominations for the Iowa CCA Board

These individuals help direct the Iowa Certified Crop Advisor program in the future.  You, as an Iowa CCA, have the opportunity to run for three board positions by filling out the nomination form attached with this "Good Advice" newsletter.  Serving on the Iowa CCA Board is a rewarding experience; you'll be able to lead the CCA program during the rapid changes going on in agriculture.  Please take the time to consider serving on the Iowa CCA Board and helping emulate what being an Iowa CCA is all about! "Trusted Advice to Help You Grow".

Are you interested in serving on the Iowa CCA Board?  Attached is a nomination form for anyone who wishes to submit their name to serve on the Iowa CCA Board.  We will be filling three 3-year terms.  Current board members Jason Dodd and Pat Reeg are running for re-election, while board member Steve Boos will not seek re-election.  Board terms will begin January 2009 and run through December 2011.   The board meets quarterly and typically the meetings are in Des Moines.  A board member is required to attend a minimum of three meetings each year.  Board members will also be asked to help chair committees and/or task forces established by the board.

We are asking that all nominations be submitted to Joan O'Brien before November 3, 2008.  Ballots will be e-mailed to all Iowa CCAs by November 10th and will need to be returned and postmarked no later than November 24, 2008.  We will announce the three board members at the ICM AAI Expo on December 10, 2008.

Updates to the Iowa CCA Website

Now on the Iowa CCA website, http://www.iowacca.org/, you can register CEU credit programs your company or organization is hosting.  This is a free service provided by the Iowa Certified Crop Advisor program so that all Iowa CCAs will know where they can seek credits to continue their education.

To register a CEU program go to the Iowa CCA website at http://www.iowacca.org/ and click on the "Register CEU Class" link.  Fill out the form with the requested information and submit.  Information about your CEU credit program will then be added to the Iowa CCA website within 1-2 business days.
