Date and Time: 9/23/2009 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Location: Goodell, IA Cost: No charge Reps toured 4 corn and soybean plots discussing the topics of plant health/ crop diseases, plant stress caused by nitrogen availability or a cool grain fill period, and making early season yield estimates on corn and soybeans. This portion lasted for 3 hours. We then had a presentation from Joe Gogerthy (Corn Breeder for Pioneeer, out of the Algona research station) on the isoline corn breeding process as well as trait integration process. Joe's presentation lasted 1 hour.
